چکیده

Abstract It has been long debated whether the high-energy gamma-ray radiation from Crab Nebula stems leptonic or hadronic processes. In this work, we investigate multiband nonthermal pulsar wind nebula with and leptonic–hadronic hybrid models, respectively. Then use Markov Chain Monte Carlo sampling technology method of trace to study stability reasonability model parameters according recently observed results obtain best-fitting values parameters. Finally, calculate different radiative components generated by electrons protons in Nebula. The modeling indicate that pure origin one-zone only can partly agree some segments data various experiments (including PeV emission reported LHAASO other ranging radio very-high-energy wave band), contribution interaction is hardly constrained. However, find process may also contribute, especially energy range exceeding PeV. addition, it be inferred higher signals could future.

Faint X-ray Structure in the Crab Pulsar-wind Nebula

We report on a Chandra observation of the Crab Nebula that gives the first clear view of the faint boundary of the Crab's X-ray-emitting Pulsar Wind Neb-ula, or PWN. There is structure in all directions. Fingers, loops, bays, and the South Pulsar Jet all indicate that either filamentary material or the magnetic field are controlling the relativistic electrons. In general, spectra soften as dist...

Very high energy gamma radiation associated with the unshocked wind of the Crab pulsar

We show that the relativistic wind of the Crab pulsar, which is commonly thought to be invisible in the region upstream of the termination shock at r ≤ rS ∼ 0.1 pc, in fact could be directly observed through its inverse Compton (IC) γ-ray emission. This radiation is caused by illumination of the wind by low-frequency photons emitted by the pulsar, and consists of two, pulsed and unpulsed, compo...

Very High Energy Gamma Rays from the Vela Pulsar/nebula

We have observed the Vela pulsar region at TeV energies using the 3.8 m imaging Čerenkov telescope near Woomera, South Australia every year since 1992. This is the first concerted search for pulsed and unpulsed emission from the Vela region, and the imaging technique also allows the location of the emission within the field of view to be examined. A significant excess of gamma-ray-like events i...

High Energy Gamma-ray Observations of the Crab Nebula and Pulsar with the Solar Tower Atmospheric Cherenkov Effect Experiment

The Solar Tower Atmospheric Cherenkov Effect Experiment (STACEE) is a new ground-based atmospheric Cherenkov telescope for gamma-ray astronomy. STACEE uses the large mirror area of a solar heliostat facility to achieve a low energy threshold. A prototype experiment which uses 32 heliostat mirrors with a total mirror area of ∼ 1200m has been constructed. This prototype, called STACEE-32, was use...

Discovery of powerful gamma-ray flares from the Crab Nebula.

The well-known Crab Nebula is at the center of the SN1054 supernova remnant. It consists of a rotationally powered pulsar interacting with a surrounding nebula through a relativistic particle wind. The emissions originating from the pulsar and nebula have been considered to be essentially stable. Here, we report the detection of strong gamma-ray (100 mega-electron volts to 10 giga-electron volt...
